Can't speak for reiserfs but XFS has been solid here for
over a year and I know people who are running a large
number of business systems (servers, etc.) on XFS.

Well, I see about once a week someone asking about
Reiserfs and problems.. I use ext3.. But I just can't
figure out if these are user things or if reiserfs just
that "flaky"..
I don't see to much ext2/3 or xfs questions.. But I don't
know just how many people actually use XFS..
Purusing the Gentoo FAQ, I ran across the following:
"ReiserFS and filesystem corruption issues -- how to
fix'em, etc
If your ReiserFS partition is corrupt, try booting the
Gentoo Linux
boot CD and run reiserfsck --rebuild-tree on the
corrupted
filesystem.
This should make the filesystem consistent again,
although you may
have lost some files or directories due to the
corruption."
Granted I should have read this before doing the
install, but, I made
all my partitions Reiser (except for boot). So now I'm
wondering
about the likelihood of data corruption. Has anyone
experienced it?
Are there things I can do to ensure it doesn't happen to
me (or at
least reduce the possibility)? (Other than "backup
early, backup
often" of course :)
