Manuel,
No, it's a pretty generic problem. Pretty much assume that anything
'normal' you can browse on a Windows box needs to be browsed on a Linux box.

After seeing Linux running in my home recording studio my 70+ year old
father decided he wants to dump Windows and try Linux. However, he doesn't
have the background to do this himself, so he's asked me to set up a machine
for him to replace his old Windows box. I've done that. It's up and running,
with Mozilla, Evolution, Alsa for sound (since I use Alsa) and Crossover
Office so he can still work with Word and Excel.

As I use his new machine, (not delivered to him yet) trying to make web
browsing more enjoyable seems important. On my boxes it isn't, but it's
mostly because I haven't studied how to make it work well. This weekend I
was trying to learn about the plug-in architecture and find some set of
solutions that worked. I got part way, but not really very far. That's what
I'm trying to do.

This evening I will try plugger-5.0 against the plugger test page.

Tell me more about gxine. Would it be a good solution for this
application?

Thanks,
Mark
