Hello to all!
Could someone please explain me (step by step) how to connect two
computers
running Linux through a x-over cable?
What if one of these computers is running WindowsXP?
It is as simple as plugging each end of the crossover cable into each computer's network card. Then, assign both of them an IP address, probably 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2, but you can use whatever you want. Keep in mind that a crossover cable is not the same as a regular CAT5 patch cable. Its a special cable that has a few wires crossed at one end.
