Confirmed. It is a two timer ;)
If what I said in my other post doesn't work, I'd also suggest finishing the installation (if you can) before trying to update again.
I can try ignoring and finish the process but it doesn't *feel* right...
It seems to me that is gcc-config has trouble, it may contaminate other packages as well.
But like I said, I don't know exactly how it works.
Maybe I should tell the list about my background:
I started out with linux mandrake 7.0 I think. Liked it very much, beeing a newbie.
But there were bugs here and there, and after trying mdk 7.2, 8, 9, 9.1 I had enough.
Went for debian and it was cool.
Tried freebsd which was even cooler, but the freebsd guys does not seem to care at all about users being used to backspace meaning backspace and not delete, and such problems.
Heard of gentoo recently (two months ago), and wanted to try it.
Since I left mandrake I have been doing everything through the shell, but I am definitely not a guru. Not even close to...
I haven't installed many kernels... one or two.
Hmmm... I don't really have to tell you all this, so I guess I should just stop right now...
