It's a great project, and I really like their distribution and the quality work that goes on behind the scenes to make apt-get work so well. I also respect their process a great deal. I'd be happily running Debian (and maybe even contributing) if "stable" had the packages I need. Unless I've missed something major, though, the fellow who's looking for another Debian project is probably going to be disappointed.
