I've got a network interface configured but I don't want it to be started at boot (this is a laptop).
I don't know why, but it is started anyway.
# rc-update -s
bootmisc | boot
checkfs | boot
checkroot | boot
clock | boot
consolefont | boot
crypto-loop |
cupsd |
domainname | boot
gpm |
hdparm |
hostname | boot
hotplug | default
keymaps | boot
local | default nonetwork
localmount | boot
modules | boot
net.eth0 |
net.lo | boot
netmount |
nscd |

rmnologin | boot
rsyncd |
samba |
serial | boot
slapd |
slurpd |
sshd |
switch |
syslog-ng | default
urandom | boot
winbind |
xdm | default
xfs |
... and just after boot:
# /etc/init.d/net.eth0 status
* status: started
Any idea what is causing eth0 to start?
