I cannot telnet into my Gentoo box from a remote machine ("connection refused"). It's a machine on my local lan protected from the world by a firewall on a separate gateway machine, so security is somewhat of a non-issue.
I installed netkit-telnetd but still no joy.. Do I need to activate it somehow?
Or am I barking up th wrong tree?
