However, I'm still having some problems, specifically:
1) I can't mount my cdroms or floppies without su-ing to root first. I thought I just needed to change the permission of the /mnt directories--but when I ran chmod, the changes didn't have any effect. I'm sure I'm just missing something simple here.
2) I've manually set the settings for my network card. Works great, but every time I reboot it loses track of the default gateway. Once I run "route add -net default gw xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx" it works fine--until I reboot again. How do I fix this?
Hmm. Those are the two big issues. Sound's not working, but I know from past experience it can be a pain in the butt to set up properly. So I'll wait until I have a good afternoon free before tackling it.
