You've been hit by the switch from Python 3.8 to 3.9 by the looks of it. Try adding "sys-apps/portage python_targets_python3_8" to package.use. You'll probably have to add a few more packages to this list to get world updated. I currently have 38 packages with this flag in package_use on my laptop, yet my desktop needs none, so the number you will have to add will be somewhere between zero and lots :) -- Neil Bothwick Will we ever get out of this airport? asked Tom interminably.
