I think the closest, even with some differences, especially UI-wise, and
now possibly implementation too (weren't some parts getting
reimplemented in JS?), will be Thunderbird.

I see this has already been covered in other parts of the thread, but:
Enigmail, while currently developed, won't work in current Thunderbird,
which now has its own implementation for PGP encryption and signing.
