Hello to everyone, sorry for the long silence, but I had to delay the purchase of the new printer and I bought it only a few days ago. In the end, I decided to buy a Brother MFCJ654DWE [1]. I only tested the basic printing (with both A3 and A4 paper) and scanning functionality, but it seems to work without problems using WiFi. In particular: - I setup the printer using the instructions at [2] for driverless printing. I just issued the command lpadmin -p Printer -E -v ipp://192.168.0.137/ipp -m everywhere (where, of course, 192.168.0.137 is the printer's IP address) and it worked. - for scanning, I just installed media-gfx/sane-airscanner and, when I next lauched skanlite (one of KDE scan application) it correctly identified the device and was able to scan from it. For the time being, I'm happy with the purchase. I just hope that regularly using the printer won't show any problems (in which case, I'll let you know). Thanks again for the information and advice.
