Hi Andrew, I don't think there is an existing term or terminology for such projects as a group. Even "geoengineering" has not been ascribed to them in the past. I favour "polar geoengineering" as it covers Arctic and Antarctic, and it covers all projects intended to have a significant effect on local climate. However this term wouldn't be exclusive of SRM, since SRM techniques could be used for local effect, e.g. for saving the Arctic sea ice. Polar geoengineering is, in my opinion, an application of geoengineering. The projects, which are neither to do with SRM or carbon removal, could be characterised as "manipulative geoengineering" - but I'm sure somebody can find a better term than that!
