Hi

There was a lot of coverage of the Haida salmon / Russ George ocean iron
fertilization experiment, both on this list and in the wider media. I guess
a lot more data has been made available over time from satellites, etc.

However, I don't recall seeing anything which quantified the ocean colour
change and the resulting effect on albedo. I've previously run some numbers
which suggested a globally significant effect from widespread ocean albedo
changes resulting from biological interventions. Sadly, I've been unable to
calibrate these estimates due to a lack of ability to convert photographic
brightness to absolute albedo.

I'm turning to the list for help, to see if anyone can offer data or
calculations. Do you know, or can you infer, the change in absorption /
reflection resulting from OIF? The Haida experiment is an ideal source, but
any help is welcomed.

Thanks

A
