This sounds like a bug specific to you - I have never had this problem in 4.3 with any Autocad DXF. But in the 4.3 version the result of importing such a dxf file is only one record (called default) in the Group manager so as the layers can't be handled (coloured etc.) unically. Is there any other (better) solution than blowing up the original dxf file using some other software and importing the layers one-by-one?
