There are LISP routines available for AutoCAD that extract the node
information from a DXF file and write it to an ASCII XYZ file (which you can
then grid up). You have to make sure that Z values have been assigned to
your contours.
I don't have the LISP routine on this machine, but if you can't find it
elsewhere I can try to get it for you.
What about a GX to do just this?
I think that it would be cool if Geosoft could write such a GX. They
already know how to read a DXF file because of Montaj's ability to import
DXF's to maps, so extracting the node information to a database shouldn't be
too much extra work.
