Hi Mwape, If you're using Target version 8.1 or later there is a Survey Design tool that you may find useful for more complicated areas. Here are the steps:
1. Display the shapefile on a map. (Map > Import > ArcView Shapefile) 2. Convert the map group to a polygon file. (Map Tools > CAD Tools > Create PLY from Map Group) 3. Create a survey from the PLY file. (Coordinates > Design Survey) 4. From the database get the total line distance.
