Hi Mwape,

If you're using Target version 8.1 or later there is a Survey Design tool that
you may find useful for more complicated areas. Here are the steps:

1. Display the shapefile on a map.
(Map > Import > ArcView Shapefile)

2. Convert the map group to a polygon file.
(Map Tools > CAD Tools > Create PLY from Map Group)

3. Create a survey from the PLY file.
(Coordinates > Design Survey)

4. From the database get the total line distance.
(Database Tools > Reports > Total Line Distance)

Thanks,

Subject: [geonet] How to calculate the Km lines given the tenement shapefile

Dear All
I have a prospecting tenement shape file and am planning to have it surveyed by
airborne magnetics, I would like to estimate the km lines, the line spacing
will be 100m. anyone know the easiest way of doing that?
