I have done a successful test deployment sometime before the 1.0 release, but I didn't document the process at all and it was much more complicated than even the current manual install process.
Basically the hard part is tracking down all the dependencies - python, java, mod_wsgi. Most of the final configuration details will be similar but actually installing the "platform" that GeoNode runs in will take a fair bit of web searching. It will be a slow process, but if you are willing to run through the process and report back here when you run into road blocks, I can provide some pointers. This is probably a discussion better suited for the development list as Windows is currently not a supported platform for GeoNode. -- David Winslow OpenGeo - http://opengeo.org/ On Tue, Sep 6, 2011 at 9:32 AM, Ariel Nunez <[email protected]>wrote: > Some people have attempted it but I am not aware of anyone reporting sucess > or writing docs. > > In theory all the Geobode components support windows individually. > > Ariel > On Sep 6, 2011 3:13 AM, "jude mwenda" <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi all, > > Any one with documentation on setting up geonode on a Windows platform? > Are > > there plans for this? > > > > -- > > Regards, > > > > Jude Mwenda > > Skype id: jmwenda > > Twitter: www.twitter.com/judemwenda > > Web: www.africangeogeek.com > > > > "Was ist mein Leben, wenn ich nicht mehr nützlich für andere." > > Johann Wolfgang von Goethe >
