Hello everybody,
I plan to submit a proposal for an official GeoServer Docker image in
the near future (see notes on Tuesday's session). The issue was already
raised in September last year, but not much has happened since then (see
http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/GeoTools-GeoServer-PMC-meeting-2019-09-17-td5416490.html).
I would like to ask for ideas and thoughts on this topic that could be
included in the proposal.
A key point is certainly the handling of extensions. Since not everyone
needs the same set of extensions in their GeoServer, the current idea is
that a user-defined set of extensions could be downloaded and included
on container startup (before the tomcat actually starts).
