Robert,
The version of Ubuntu should not matter and I will be amazed if it would
work on a different version of Ubuntu (or any other Linux distro).
Things that do matter:
* You could check the version of the Java JDK.
* You could check the version of Postgres.
* You could check the version of PostGIS.
* You could check if there is a newer version of the JDBC driver for
Postgres, and replace the old one.
