The problem is this...I have tested it on my own home server which is an
Ubuntu
10.04 and it works ok.
At work we can only install ubuntu 8.04 due to a virtual environment
restriction, and here it doesn´t work.
Postgres/postgis on the server that works is 8.4
where is doesn´t work is 8.3
would this play a role?
