Hi All,

No problem report this time. Just to let you know that things can go
well with Geoserver ;)

I'm currently testing with multiple Geoserver 2.1RC2 instances to
improve WMS performance of Geoserver.

The configuration is:
- Windows 2008 server with IIS (hosting 2 TB of ECW data)
- AJP13 connector with loadbalancer
- 4 instances of tomcat with 1 geoserver instance each
- Native JAI, etc, etc.

This actually works great and performance increases when more tomcat
instances are added.

I'm also comparing performance of Erdas Apollo 2011 and Geoserver using JMeter.
Geoserver can get very close (or even beats Apollo) when using a
configuration with multiple tomcat instances.

Compliments (again) for the Geoserver/Geotools team!

Best regards,
Sjoerd Brandsma
