GeoServer 2.1 uses ECQL every time you provide CQL_FILTER, which is a param in the wms request (a vendor one). GeoServer 2.0.x does not, if you have to do it there and use a database I suggest you enable "expose primary keys" (assuming it's available in 2.0.3, I don't remember) and then query the pk as a normal attribute Hope this helps Cheers Andrea -- ------------------------------------------------------- Ing.
