Hi Ben, thanks for responding to my question last week. I had assumed that the startup script was clever enough to guess at environment variables if they weren't explicitly set by the system.
But after explicitly setting my GEOSERVER_HOME and JAVA_HOME environment variables geoserver now seems to be running properly. Thanks for you help, Hugh Ben Caradoc-Davies wrote: > Your log contains: "The GEOSERVER_HOME environment variable is not defined > correctly. > Temporarily setting GEOSERVER_HOME to the following directory: > C:\geoserver" > > The other error messages indicate that you have no data directory. > > What are the values of your GEOSERVER_HOME and GEOSERVER_DATA_DIR environment > variables, if set? > > Kind regards, > Ben. > > On 17/01/12 13:36, Hugh Stimson wrote: >> Hi Geoserver folks, >> >> I've just installed the latest stable Geoserver 2.1.3 onto my Windows 7 >> 64bit machine.
