To have the nodata values transparent in my mosaics I had to leave the
InputTransparentColor and OutputTransparentColor empty.
I used the style to set the nodata value to transparent
<ColorMapEntry color="#000000" quantity="255" opacity="0.0" />
NOTE: If I set an output color the image would not display with an
error "Rendering process failed. Band Number 2 is not valid". Each image
only had one band.
NB: Geoserver 2.0.2 installed on Windows Server 2008.

a colorpicker associated to that field. Otherwise, going by memory you
should be able to set it in the HEX for, e.g. #ffffff for white.
