Sorry,

Replied to that post thinking it was in regards to a second post that I had posted yesterday (uploading coverage using cURL & REST).

This is the gdalinfo output for one of five files that I included in a imagemosaic. It's a geotiff of ocean floor backscatter used for creating bathymetry and other sea floor layers.

Ciao Richard,
thinking, can you share the output of the gdalinfo on one of your datasets?
I am interested in seeing which type of data we are talking about and
what is going on with it.

To have the nodata values transparent in my mosaics I had to leave the
InputTransparentColor and OutputTransparentColor empty.

I used the style to set the nodata value to transparent
<ColorMapEntry color="#000000" quantity="255" opacity="0.0" />

NOTE: If I set an output color the image would not display with an error
"Rendering process failed. Band Number 2 is not valid". Each image only had
one band.

NB: Geoserver 2.0.2 installed on Windows Server 2008.

Ciao Umair,
there should be a colorpicker associated to that field.

Otherwise, going by memory you should be able to set it in the HEX
for, e.g. #ffffff for white.
