If it is the case as you said, GeoServer can always provide a parameter for 
setting up a cleanup schedule, right? 😊

 

I just want to know is GeoServer capable to store those images as a temp file? 
Because I really cannot find it…

I think those images are streamed directly and not stored on disk. I seem to 
vaguely remember that there is an option where the image would be stored as a 
temp file before being sent to the client but i may be wrong

 

Storing all requested images would be an excellent way to blow up your storage 
given the infinite number of possible requests to a WMS
