Hi, About dropping Java 8 support, I do not have an idea when it might happen. It has an connection to Java 17 and I can see this comment in https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/5248: “It might be necessary to make a decision if we should keep Java 8 compatibility.”

I need someone with enough rights to setup this with the official repo. The links between github resources and transifex resources must be configured by the administrator of the project.
