Yes - I missed a 0 before, and said I was sorry. I know the file is big, because I wanted it to be big. It is one band only, grayscale 0-255 and FME seems to use ECW JPEG 2000 SDK v5.4.0.1596 for writing. The file opens with no problem in QGIS, and is as fast as I want it to be there. There are 9 pyramid levels. All writer settings are FME default for the format. /Mats.E
