Yes, it is the bug fix I was waiting for. But its look like that we also need to do some work on the Geotools side. Our Maven 2 build run the tests with J2SE assertions enabled, while our Maven 1 build did not. Consequently, we have some java.lang.AssertionError in the Maven 2 test phase that were unoticed in the Maven 1 test phase. See http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-792 for example.

For now I disabled the Maven 2 tests in ext/shaperenderer until someone fix those java.lang.AssertionError. I'm in the process of enabling the tests in other modules.
