It is possible to write a Maven plugin for that; maybe the easiest approach
would be a Ant script with <replace> tasks (something a little bit similar to
what we do in GeoAPI for the "nogenerics" module). I don't know if we have a
volunter for that right now. If not, maybe we should write the "README" by hand
for the next few releases and open a JIRA task for creating this Maven plugin. I
don't think that it would be hard.
