You can create several FeatureSource instances; each FeatureSource is 
independent (although you can place them on the same transaction). There 
is no reason for them to step on each others toes.

It is stateful; see setTransaction; the test cases depend on the fact 
that they can configure several FeatureSource instances to point at the 
same data each configured with a different Transaction. The only reason 
I placed vendor specific hints on Transaction last time was so they 
could apply to a number of different FeatureSource instances in one go.
