Oh, for an idea of how hard the switch might be have a look at the differences between java logggin and commons logging: http://www.slf4j.org/api/org/slf4j/Logger.html (you'll notice that some cases aren't covered 1:1 by slf4j either, thought probably it's possible to handle them by using that Marker thing they have there).
