Hi Ben, Usually how it works to get commit access you need to submit a number of patches first. Once your work has gained the trust of one of the current committers they can nominate you.
Until then, you should be able to check out the code from svn, generate diffs for patches, without having authentication to commit. Our setup on Xircles is a bit odd at the moment. Currently its an all or nothing setup, where if you join the project you are given full blown commit access.
