I just had a talk with a scientist co-worker in my laboratory (this laboratory
is fully dedicaced to remote sensing), and he suggested that while binding the
"sampleToGeophysics" transform to SampleDimension seems raisonable, the
"sampleToGeophysics" name may be part of the problem. For some scientifics,
"sample to geophysics" means something much more complex than just the
conversion from a "packed" form of data to a "floating point" form (which is
the
intend of "sampleToGeophysics").

He suggested "sampleToUnit", which is close in spirit to "gridToCRS" - in both
cases we more from integer values in "sample" or "grid" space to floating point
values in "Unit" or "CRS" space. In both case the target space is fully
specified by a method in the same class:
Coverage.getCoordinateReferenceSystem()
in the case of "gridToCRS" and SampleDimension.getUnit() in the case of
"sampleToUnit".
