So:
* We have seen a dependency toward "imageio-ext" and assumed that
it was about GDAL bindings. We were wrong, there is no dependency
toward GDAL, sorry about that.
* We still have this dependency toward "imageio-ext" in a library
module. Its scope will be changed to "test", thanks.
* If there is some way to get render sample-data loaded only through
standards plugins, that would be great. However this is not a major
issue.
My concern is not about the GeoTools arcgrid module. It is about the
imageio-ext
dependency, which I tend to see as a collection of GeoTools unsupported modules
externalized on a separated SVN, because its community seems to be a subset of
GeoTools community. I don't know if it is great or not, but from an outsider
point of view I'm inclined to handle it more like a GeoTools unsupported module
than an ordinary external library like JTS or JAI...
