Ciao Vincent,
I already answered this question a couple of months ago, I think
Adrian was asking, but I can answer again.

Christian Mueller has worked on a plugin since last year and he has
been using it in production.
Since I think it is ha shame to have a developer which is not
contributing code I suggested him to join the GSOC program and commit
the code for everybody to look and review.
That said, this code has not been developed by me or anyone else at
GeoSolutions, but it seems that whatever is associated to my name or
to the GeoSolutions name raises an alert over there. I am glad to see
all this attention!

As of Postgrid, we have briefly looked at it but we decided to not
invest on it for the moment, but we should probably get back to it
after the summer once the work that daniele is doing on netcdf, grib
and hdf will get more mature.

As of trust (and communication skills probably), in my very humble
opinion, it seems to me that this is something that your team is not
mastering very well.

Ciao,
Simone.
