I actually don't know, but given the way they were generated (from the SLD schema) I doubt they can handle the extensions we added to SLD in order to handle road plates, label priorities, grouping and the like. I'm not against replacing the old parser, but who is going to work on the new one enough to make it a real replacement for the old one?
