Good morning: We are not really using spike anymore prefering to ask people to work in the unsupported directory.
GoogleMaps can be a touchy subject since they tend to only like javascript programmers access that data in a browser. You are aware of this issue I presume? If you recast your service to work on nasa world wind tiles you should be good to go. If you know more then me on this matter (perhaps they changed their terms of service) I would love to be corrected.
