Jeepers - that's scary... knowing so little I hope and pray that there is _someone_ who knows more. I could have also mentioned the process module earlier, since although it doesn't have an JAI contents at the moment it does have the raster to vector function which is in the same area, conceptually, as the new Regionalize operator. Just to step back a bit, what I'm really interested in is contributing to the analysis side of GeoTools which seems to get less attention than the data management / display side. That isn't a criticism, just an observation from my point of view. I'm not just referring to the available components in each area, but also to the degree of organization and coherence. If someone new to Geotools wants to find out how to read / create / store / render / query a particular type of data it's not too hard given the organization of the modules and the resources on the web site. On the other hand, when working out whether GeoTools is capable of some bit of map algebra etc. things are more diffuse... There are gems hidden in many parts of the library and it relies on oral tradition (via the user's list) to find them. So, in wanting to contribute to the analytical methods available in GeoTools I guess I don't just want to ask "where do you reckon the best place is to stick this thing ?" :-) Michael ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities.
