Hi Jody,
I have created a pull request [1] that addresses the build failure on Win7 &
Java7 on the 9.x branch. It is a backport of commit 6411df5e7e on master. The
other commits are not needed as the commit that caused the problem on master
has not been replicated to the 9.x branch
