7 / Java 7

Having a bit of trouble getting the release out, the previous fixes for Windows
7 / Java 7 got us a bit further … but twitter reports it does not fly.

I am going to proceed with the release as we are now a couple days behind
schedule.

Thanks so much, I was just breaking out "Tower" to figure out how to cherry

Hi Jody,

I have created a pull request [1] that addresses the build failure on Win7 &
Java7 on the 9.x branch. It is a backport of commit 6411df5e7e on master. The
other commits are not needed as the commit that caused the problem on master
has not been replicated to the 9.x branch

Okay the initial files are up (but not announced):

I downloaded and built locally before posting to source forge (Java 6 - maven
3.0.5).

Twitter has reported build
failure<https://twitter.com/GeoFootballer/status/347059422528417793> (Win7+Java
7).
