Hi Bret, Ian,

The JTS team is close to having a LocationTech approved release. (I'm helping with some of the IP/Eclipse-related bits which the release depends on.)

If there a bits you need in JTS, feel free to discuss them on the JTS mailing list (https://dev.locationtech.org/mailman/listinfo/jts-dev) or raise/comment on an appropriate issue here (https://github.com/locationtech/jts/issues).

As an additional note, Jody has worked to upgrade the version of JTS from 1.13 to 1.14.0. I don't know if that helps with the Z/ZM geometries.

Cheers,

Jim

Probably after there is a location tech release - it really depends on when Martin gets a chance to make it.

There is nothing to stop you giving us a jump on that release by making a PR against a snapshot to make use of Z and ZM geometries in the mean time though,

Cheers

Ian

Can someone please tell me if Geotools plans on incorporating
locationtechs version of JTS into the codebase instead of
vividsolutions? My understanding is that vividsolutions is not
being actively maintained anymore, and does not support Z and ZM
geometries. It appears that locationtech may have taken on this
task? and seems to be getting more attention. If so, is there an
ETA on when this might happen? Post Vegas?
