So when you say shapefile only support MultiLineString, MultiPolygon and MultiPoint what exactly do you mean? Do you mean GeoTools does not support it? I understand from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shapefile that a shapefile has a lot more shapetypes than the one you mention so can you explain yourself a bit more?
