And since rendering and analysis are computationally intensive, how should you prioritize these activities? This could certainly framed as a geography question... for example, how should one go about designing a system that supports disaster response (i.e. when a fire breaks out on the front range). This question could incorporate the technologies mentioned (wps, cloud computing) and others, but has the 'where' and 'when' aspects that interest geography academics.
