At CTA www.cta.int we are working on the production of a training kit
focusing on "Supporting the spread of good practice in generating, managing,
analysing and communicating spatial information". In the context of the
initiative we plan to produce a 20 min video documentary on PGIS practice.
We are therefore on the look for raw footage which could be used in the
process. Specifically we look for footage on the different participatory
mapping methods including the following: (i) ground and sketch mapping, (ii)
scale mapping (using GPS and/ or conventional survey instruments); (iii)
participatory photo mapping, (iii) participatory mapping using satellite
images; (iv) internet-based mapping (screen-captures & action); (v) legend
making; (vi) data gathering (vii) people discussing around maps; (vii)
individuals/groups of people making a case using maps, (viii) etc. Footage
should clearly refer to a development context.

The documentary will be available for free under a Creative Commons license
via the training kit and online. Sources of footage used will be duly
acknowledged.

Should you be interested in making your footage available to the production
team and -provided you are the author or hold copyrights on such footage,
and have permission to make use of it - please get in touch with me at
Rambaldi[at]cta.int and we will discuss the matter further.

More information on the initiative is found here:

Many thanks

Giacomo Rambaldi
