Hey Steve,

You're ding us all down we British don't give up:

WWII
Our football supporters
Our yearly attempts at eating outside in the summer

You've clearly been away too long

John

Y'see I should've just put a bet on you saying that but I doubt anyone would
take it.

Have I given up? Looks like I'm still taking orders. Won't be doing anything
this weekend as it's BarCamp Liverpool!

Stop being British and giving up.

I will be your proxy on kick starter, I'm a legal resident alien.

Now, how can you get that video done?

Thanks all for the great comments. Unfortunately I can't
actually use Kickstarter as it's US only:

"Be a US resident and at least 18 years of age with a social
security number (or EIN), a US bank account, US address, US state-issued ID
(driver's license), and major US credit or debit card."

I considered IndieGoGo but they didn't really seem to offer
much beyond a payment platform, which paypal, etc. provide. I guess Steve would
tell me to find a US friend and worry about tax implications later ;-)

Brady - I've submitted for Where under "Mini Maker Faire" but
can submit as a talk ("15 minute session"?) too. I like the muggleclock.com
<http://muggleclock.com/> site, hadn't actually seen it before, I may end up
with something similar as a demo for what the purchased clock will look like.

You've certainly helped me get closer to the 50, just another
39 to go!

                John

                        Great project.

Well, I know we'd like to have a talk on this at Where
-> http://whereconf.com/where2012/user/proposal/propose/cfp/189

And if you do create a Kickstarter (which you should)
I'll add it to the O'Reilly curated page -> kickstarter.com/oreilly

                        If you'd like a web-view of your friend's 4sq check-ins
-> http://muggleclock.com/

Put this on kickstarter and generate
some real revenue!

Some of you have probably seen the
"Harry Potter/Weasley" Location Clock I made a few years ago:

You might be interested to know that
I've designed a version that I'm able to sell. I need to get 50 people to buy
one before it's worth me doing it, it's going to be an Open Hardware project so
the specs for the hardware and the Arduino software will be available but I'm
hoping there's enough people without access to a laser cutter or time that are
willing to just pay me for one :-)

I'm also interested to hear any ideas
you have for improvements. I'd love to have some representation of the globe on
