+1. And to make this happen, please describe your format in plain text, in simple English. That's our interoperability standard. There are many excellent reasons why we will always have different formats for different needs, but as long as you can provide clear and well usable interface code for it, or description is clear enough so I can implement it, then it is just fine. Feel free even invent new file formats.
