So they're traffic/road network maps basically? Execution is kinda neat I guess but I don't see any remarkable pattern in the result (I.e. it's a cool idea but I don't think you took it far enough). They pretty much look exactly how I would guess. In fact I'm quite certain you could take existing road networks, process the line thickness with population density (interpolated to avoid the census blocks) and get more or less the same result.
Possibly more interesting in places where road networks are not dominant and at a larger scale or animated to show how cities "breathe". Or at a very large scale to see how people walk around Central Park or Disneyland, etc. - bri Sent from my iPad On Feb 13, 2013, at 17:19, Steve Coast <[email protected]> wrote: > Tell 500 of your best friends... > > http://kickstarter.com/projects/237731198/gps-art-poster > http://stevecoast.com/2013/02/13/my-first-kickstarter-project/ > > Steve > > > _______________________________________________ > Geowanking mailing list > [email protected] > http://geowanking.org/mailman/listinfo/geowanking_geowanking.org _______________________________________________ Geowanking mailing list [email protected] http://geowanking.org/mailman/listinfo/geowanking_geowanking.org
