Sounds promising, but when I checked out their repository, it turns out to be written for MSVC and not in particularly portable C++. May be a significant effort to get it running on anything but a Windows machine.

It's still pretty US-centric, relying on TIGER data, but they want others who can to adapt it to address-geocoding world-wide. Might be worth a look if
you know C++.
