Probably some of you already noticed: Google Maps now offers detailed
maps/arial pics for much of the EU (at least for The Netherlands). See e.g.
http://www.geoskating.com/gmap/gmap.html
Only works with v2 of the API (I have to work hard getting all of my
v1-hacks evolved) but that's a matter of time, see e.g.
http://chignik.berkeley.edu/google/wmstest236.html for a WMS overlay
(hmm: without caching a tiling engine makes a WMS suffocating).
